What a thoughtful and thought-provoking dialogue from Neghmeh Abedini in the Oct. 27 Statesman. After all the setbacks and disappointments in trying to see her husband freed in Iran, she still maintains a hopeful and Christian attitude. That we should all follow her example. It is so easy to be critical and find fault in others. Neghmeh does not. She met with the president of the United States, for heaven’s sake. How simple it would have been for her to have complained about his lack of action on her husband’s behalf. We could all use a little dose of her optimism, determination and faith. Thank God for Neghmeh, and her basic and innate goodness.
