Election helpers
I just moved to Eagle in August and have had to undergo a crash course on the city of Eagle and its politics. I have done my homework and am now ready to vote in next Tuesday’s election. Oh no! I just found out that I have to go out of town next week and I haven’t requested an absentee ballot. Well, I took a chance and drove over to the Ada County Election Headquarters at 400 N. Benjamin Lane, Boise. Much to my delight, I walked into a room of well-organized volunteers. All they needed was my name, address and a valid ID to confirm that I was a registered voter. I was handed a ballot which I completed and dropped into the waiting ballot box. Then I was handed my “I Voted” sticker (who can resist the magic of a sticker) and was out the door in less than 5 minutes.
A very sincere thank you to the Ada County election volunteers for enabling me to exercise my right to vote.
