Science standards

Fiery tentacles made worse by climate change beset, encircle and grip the West, claiming scores of lives, property and dreams. Meanwhile a confederacy of dunces, 14 radical members of the Idaho GOP, are meeting this existential challenge by denying climate change and illegally removing language on climate change from the recently approved K12 science standards.

In this they enlisted the ethically challenged Superintendent of Public Instruction Ybarra to carry to the State Board on June 10, 2020, Board meeting an overflowing fountain of lies in black and white including calling the removal of 35 pages of content “a technical correction.” Idaho code demands a public process unless an agency is correcting “typographical” or “transcription” errors.

That Ybarra was caught in this massive web of purposeful lies and had to slink back to the State Board at the Aug. 26, 2020, meeting to ask that the supporting content be restored does not absolve her of responsibility for this treacherous betrayal of Idaho students. She should resign immediately because Idaho students deserve a true advocate, not a servile toady.

Lawless politicians, a corrupt superintendent and a complicit State Board allowed this to take place. One hand washes the other, mafia style.

Conservation Voters of Idaho

Conservation Voters of Idaho is a Political Action Committee, not a charitable entity. Many well-intentioned folks may have been solicited for “donations” to CVI like this one I received,

“Giving Tuesday is in full swing, and millions of Americans are donating to causes that they care about. Will you join them on this national day of giving?” Although CVI proclaims that it is non-partisan and non-biased, a PAC doesn’t have to operate like a transparent charity; it can promote candidates that advance their particular agenda. It doesn’t have to disclose any information to the public. Giving Idahoans should be aware that they are actually sending a campaign contribution to a PAC when they write a check to CVI, not a charitable donation. I wasn’t and I regret it.

Investigate Mueller

Newly released DOJ records last week show that multiple members of the Mueller’s Democrat – investigative and deep-state team claim to have “accidentally” wiped their phone during the anti-trump investigation and after the DOJ - OIG asked for the devices to be handed over. The wiping of the phones was done multiple times on the same phones and Mueller states along with his pack of attorney’s, it was “an accident”. Hum, I think not but was an intentional plan to hide and destroy the data therein in order to obstruct justice. There needs to be a special counsel assigned to investigate Mueller and his deep-state team as to why they wiped the phones.

Title 11 of the US Code states in summary form, “…whoever knowingly alters, destroys, mutilates, conceals cover up, falsifies, or makes a false entry in any record, document, or tangible object with intent to obstruct, impede or influence the investigation …shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.

Well, it is Mueller’s time for a little prison stay, let’s say, 20 plus years and a hefty fine for altering, obstructing, colluding, concealing, destroying and covering up records. – IT’S PRISON TIME!

Postal Service

The same Republican representatives who would not vote to impeach the most corrupt, incompetent and dangerous president in modern history repeated the “party line” that voters should decide in November. Now they are enabling the same president as he and his henchmen attempt to suppress the right to vote! The Postal Service is in financial red because Republican representatives voted to force the postal service to fund 75 years in advance. Outrageous hypocrisy and incompetence.

Alternative truths

Bryan Smith’s opinion piece on Thursday seems to follow President Trump’s playbook by offering “alternative truths.” First he compares the Secretary of State to the normal citizen having national security secrets on their computer. (Ms. Clinton was thoroughly investigated while Donald Trump was not held responsible for colluding with a foreign power to help him get elected.) He then implies all the BLM protests involved rioting and looting when there were relatively few bad apples and law inforcement did what it could including calling in the national guard by some Governors. While I agree that Nevada should have set a better standard regarding churches and casinos, every state has made errors in trying to open economies and protect rights while protecting against COVID. Comparing a liquor store to a bar as far as spreading COVID is simply silly. Lastly, you would think we are locking up all the people who are not wearing masks and gathering at places of worship. Check Idaho’s arrest records and see if you can find a case of either.
