Stay home

Governor’s orders: We have been mandated to show up for work to provide you with products and coaching to meet you essential needs during these troubled times. So, as directed, we show up for work. You have been mandated to stay at home unless you have a specific need for essential products and help making necessary repairs. So, as directed, STAY HOME!

Legislature

Hats off to our Idaho legislators and governor for resisting the temptation to divert their attention to less pressing matters such as much ballyhooed property tax relief and expanding health care access for Idaho’s poor and instead, focusing on the issues of vital importance to the majority of Idahoans, namely transgender athletes and expanded carry of concealed weapons by visitors to our Great State. Or as Mark Twain observed, “Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of (the Idaho legislature). But I repeat myself.”

Taxes

I want to take a bit of your time to talk about taxes. I have heard that the tax on a person’s place is determined according to value. Who determines the value of the property? Is it the county assessor, or someone acting as an assessor? The age of the property or the income of the owner. Or even the physical condition of the property owner. The legislature looked at the possibility of eliminating the property tax but in its place was additional sales tax.

In the first place, why does Idaho need so much taxes?

For the age of the property owner, they should be allowed to pay much less in property tax. At the present state the aged property owner has to make application. Why does he have to make application? Where and how does a person 65 years or older earn enough income to pay these high taxes?

With artificial intelligence, an evaluation of that individual has been done.

The urban renewal operation is duplicating operations, also the operation of Capital City Development, close them

down.

Trump

President Trump’s unsupportable statement that New York is hoarding ventilators because they have thousands in a warehouse is like saying cities are hoarding fire engines because they have thousands sitting in their fire stations. He needs to admit that the crisis is beyond his ken and get out of the way.

COVID-19

Are you kidding me? If we hold Covid-19 deaths to under 100,000 we’ve done a good job, we’ve done a good job!! This from the con man who said it was a Democrat hoax, that the cases would be near zero in a few days, that he had everything under control. If he had got off his fat butt two months ago when he was told by many experts that it would likely be a big problem, we would not be facing the outrageous total of 100,000-200,000 deaths. No, as a stable genius he knew better and didn’t want the Dow-Jones to fall. Having just watched the latest daily re-election ad (aka corona virus task force press conference), I find it unbelievable that this sad excuse or a President can stand in front of the camera and lie, deflect,t dissemble and try to take credit for doing a great job by only letting 100,000 Americans die. He is only good at calling governors childish names and demeaning intelligent reporters and anyone who doesn’t kiss his ring. He can blame Obama, Bush, George Washington all he wants: Trump is 100% responsible for the tragedy.
