Weingartner letter: Tax bill
The proposed Senate tax bill will strip the tax penalty from those who elect not to buy health insurance. This is the tax mandate that is part of the Affordable Care Act. I do not live on a flood plain nor am I a farmer, yet I am mandated, through my federal income tax, to subsidize flood and crop insurance. Why are these mandates not being repealed also?
