Taylor letter: Recycling incentive
Several times each year, I load my utility trailer with tree and shrub trimmings from my yard and haul it to the Ada County Landfill for recycling. I pay at least $11 at the landfill plus the gas to drive there. I have friends and neighbors who put their trimmings in their regular trash where it is picked up at no additional charge and dumped with all other non-recyclable refuse.
If recycling is in the public interest, why is this financial incentive reversed?
