Feeny letter: Proposed stadium

On April 14, I received an email from Mayor Bieter in response to my email to him regarding the proposed stadium. In his email, the mayor stated:

“We are in the early stages of this project and many details still need to be discussed. You can be sure that there will be a robust public process to get community input as this project moves forward.”

The mayor is correct when he references the project moving forward. This project has been moving full steam ahead since the beginning of the year. To date, the only robust part of the project is the show-and-tell of the promoters as evidenced in numerous newspaper articles and the so-called open houses to introduce the project with a proposed 2020 grand opening.

Sadly, the project continues to move forward as community input continues to be left behind.
