Welty letter: Open carry
Did the man at the local grocery store, who had a gun in a holster at his hip, really need a gun to buy a can of fruit and some celery? He made many people nervous and wondering if they really want to shop at that store anymore. Pity comes to mind for this man and his wife, who think they have to show a gun, especially at a good store. Idaho is open carry, which many people don’t agree with — me being one of them.
