Kraft letter: Plaudits to ACHD

As an ‘old-timer’ who worked in construction in the ’50s, before and after Army service, to put myself through college, I must say I have never seen any organization or people that are more organized and dedicated to “gettin’ it done.” I worked with Peter Kewitt, a competitor of Morrison-Knudsen, building the Minot, N.D., Air Force base. I was impressed then, but nothing like I am with the ACHD people.

The past few weeks I have taken the time to watch the ACHD crews repaving streets in Ada County. The workers have obviously been given very good instructions as they really know what they are doing. Even my cul-de-sac neighborhood street got the A-1 treatment. Also, they are all very courteous besides efficient.

Thanks to the ACHD for efficiently using their share of our taxes.
