Holden letter: Foothills levy taxes
Without even reading the story penned by Sven Berg on Sept. 9, I asked myself if the miscue was that a tax voted for and levied on the property owners in the city of Boise was simply overlooked by our esteemed mayor and city council, or did it simply follow the tradition of local government to tax now — we will figure out how to spend it later.
It reminds me of my favorite grade school teacher who taught me — you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can fool all of the people … Oh, never mind.
