Alvarado letter: E Pluribus Unum

E Pluribus Unum: On Labor Day, a national holiday, I’m drawn to our national motto. It feels like we can find enemies everywhere in this our great republic. As I observe this behavior, our time-tested motto poses a simple, sincere, nonpartisan question: are the things you say, are the things you do, are the people you gather with strengthening this national goal, this national spirit of E Pluribus Unum?
