With the current big push to “Buy American,” I would like to push “Eat American,” and direct this request to the major, and small, seafood restaurants, to start buying at least their large shrimp from U.S.A. producers along the Gulf Coast, and using their financial muscle to save the Gulf shrimpers from overseas competition, and no telling what quality.
How about it? “We serve only large shrimp from U.S.A. source Gulf Coast shrimp.” I don’t know enough about the popcorn shrimp industry to have an opinion about that.
