I am strongly asking Idaho and Secretary of State Denney not to comply with the request for voting records of Idaho voters. This is a clear violation of trust between voters who are assured of privacy in voting and the government. Fraud is not a problem in this country and it will not be unless someone manipulates data through nefarious means. Voting rights are sacred and should never be put into question by overreach of some false assumption that voter fraud is rampant. It simply isn’t. We should be encouraging people to vote, not drive them away by making them distrust the system.
