I have pictures of my father driving a tractor pulling a large bucket shovel across the Boise River at the Anderson Ranch Dam site in 1943 before the dam was built. The water flow through Boise must have been very high with only the Arrowrock Dam to slow the flow. In my opinion, this year the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers did a fantastic job in reducing a lot of potential property damage by their controlled discharge on the Boise and Payette rivers this spring. I don’t normally compliment a government agency but these guys did a great job. Thank you. Keep up the good work.
