Riemer letter: Otter trade show

Idaho Statesman, Stay Connected section, June 12, “Idaho governor to lead Paris trade show.”

Hope this is just a typo. One million in expected revenue from Paris trade show visit by Governor Otter and wife, 11 aviation and aerospace company representatives, and unknown number of Department of Commerce staff. Are you kidding? I suspect one million won’t even cover the mission expenses. Looks like another Otter vacation under the guise of a trade mission.

Remember the famous China trips of yore when Idaho was allowed to sell a few container loads of onions to China. This whole trip to Paris is an embarrassment to the citizens of Idaho. At one billion in revenue it might make sense, I want to see the numbers before congratulating anyone.
