Harper letter: Climate change
“Climate classes, where parents are skeptics” (Statesman, June 9): I do applaud teacher Jamie Ester for the environmental work he has done for our youth. Smelling the pine beats Powerpoint any day. I must serve notice that mankind (Anthropogenic) emissions are not a causal of global warming, now called climate change for obvious reasons. The tide began to change with the 2008 Climate Summit. With the 200 word limit let me make the dominant argument this way. “There is no scientist on the planet who can prove that global CO2 drives global temperature.” Thousands of historical studies by hundreds of scientists over many years continue to show that CO2 “trails” temperature fluctuations, often by hundreds of years. Vostok, etc.
