Ritsema letter: Air pollution

Let us set aside the arguments as to whether there is or is not climate change. There is another important reason to stay in the Paris Climate Accord. The air pollution from coal burning power plants and gasoline powered vehicles send dangerous pollutants into the air. The impact of the air pollutants are well documented. It leads to an increased number of people with respiratory illnesses, more heart attacks and higher cancer rates. Some cities have higher concentration of pollutants than other cities. Boise is one of those cities. Air pollution impairs the health of our citizens. Stay in the Paris Accord to improve the air in Boise and the health of our citizens.
