Stoll letter: Portland heroes

Recently, in Portland, Ore., three brave men stepped forward to intervene when a racist bully was threatening two young women in a bigoted, anti-Muslim tirade (one of the two women was wearing a hijab). According to witnesses, the self-proclaimed white nationalist, in an act of horrific violence, stabbed and killed two of the men who came to the aid of the young women and seriously injured the third. It makes me wonder how many of our congressional representatives, confronted with a racist, misogynistic bully, would have the courage to openly confront behavior that goes against everything this country supposedly stands for.
