Singleton letter: Loud motorcycles
Idaho vehicle code 49-937 prohibits removing the original muffler equipment from motor vehicles. This section also precludes excessive exhaust noise generally.
If your motorcycle can be heard from four blocks away, you are lowering the quality of life in Boise, creating noise pollution adverse to health, and violating the law. A loud pipe on your bike does not make you a stud, but a rude punk. Maybe BPD will take more of an interest in enforcing this code section.
