Brudenell letter: Portland heroes

The three men on a train in Portland, Ore., who intervened last week trying to stop a domestic terrorist from verbally attacking two young women are an example of the courage of an Upstander that is essential in America to preserve our Nation, as xenophobic hate comes forth more and more. I hope I would have the level of courage they displayed; as two of them gave their lives and the third suffered terrible injury in their heroic act. They should receive a Congressional bronze, silver, or gold medal.

William Brudenell, Boise
