Peterson letter: Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s actions and behavior stem from what he would say on the campaign. “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody. And I’d still win.” Now it’s, “I can disregard anything in the Constitution, our democracy, rule of law, dismantle institutions and say anything to whomever, whenever I like, and my party would still support me.” Republicans are complicit in it all. It started when a man who openly admitted to sexually assaulting women was elected and the GOP didn’t care. As far as I’m concerned they’re all guilty by association. It’s very sad and troubling to see a picture of Angela Merkel and Donald Trump with the caption, “The Leader of the Free World meets Donald Trump.” That’s where he’s taken our country in 100-plus days.
