McConnell letter: Media

I have to admit I’m perplexed. What has happened to the news media, not just in Idaho, but in America. We had things such as truth, honesty, reliability, trust and I could go on and on. Now what we have is lies, made-up stories for self-promotion, absolutely no accountability and extreme mistrust in most all reporting. The media promoting only their own agenda, candidates, viewpoints. Simply put, one-sided reporting, ridiculing any other opinion.

I have decided you absolutely cannot trust newspapers and television. You have all become politicians, not journalists. Most just parroting what they read on a teleprompter without a care or concern if it’s true or not. The words “investigative reporting” now make me sick to my stomach.

Sad and disappointed in Idaho.
