Edgar letter: Democracy in danger
Our democracy is in danger. This quote came from John Adams, a founding father, in 1814: “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.” In the last election only about 55 percent of eligible people took the time to vote. It must be “we the people” to make our system survive trials and challenges. Please do think about the value of our democracy here and around the world. We have been a model for others. Let us keep it up, folks.
