Shaw letter: Thank you

Zeitgeist Half Marathon, Nov. 5.

Thank you, Cindy Andrews and Terry Hoebelheinrich, for another superb Zeitgeist half-marathon. It’s hard to believe that this year was the 15th one. You have consistently executed a “class A” half-marathon. Zeitgeist is a beautiful course from the Optimist Youth Sports Complex on Hill Road Parkway, up Seaman’s Gulch and over the hill and down into Hidden Springs, up and up again to Pierce Park (ugh) and then back to the sports complex. It always includes a great band and delicious food.

It never lacks for beautifully embroidered shirts and unique awards. Oh, my gosh, who can forget the great door prizes and the coveted Pendleton blankets. This year the trophies were beautiful blown glass. Even “class A” metal keychains were given to all participants. Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors. Job Corp did a great job with the food. Thank you again for a great event and one that this area is very proud of.
