McMurdie letter: Today’s newspapers

This isn’t your grandpa’s press.

I used to read daily newspapers to get reliable news and information. Now I read them to learn what the elite oligarchy (aka the corporate U.S. government) wants me to believe. Today’s media is increasingly owned by a few wealthy elite. Our freedoms depend on a free press giving the public reliable information. Propaganda will not sustain a republic. In final analysis, the decline of our nation will be determined to a great extent by the level of corruption in the press and mainstream media. This criticism “that the media is controlled by an elite few” could and should be applied to the national political landscape. For information the reader would do well to view the “Project Veritas” videos on YouTube.
