Paulson letter: Tattered flags
Drive along Veterans Memorial Parkway — what a riot of color as the road curves to show green, red, orange, brown and yellow leaves on the trees. Spectacular. But wait. What a jarring note when one sees the ragged, tattered American flags on either side of the parkway, as one crosses the bridge. After browsing through the web pages of the city of Boise, the street department and park department to find a possible department to replace these flags (none found), I write this letter to direct this issue to the right department to do something about restoring a proper memorial to our veterans. Thank you in advance from the families and members of the grateful public.
Lynn Paulson, Boise
