As a parent and homeowner in the West Ada School District, I know firsthand about education budget shortfalls. My kids and their teachers suffer because of the lack of funding. But they’re not alone. When we go to the polls to pass a school bond nearly every year, homeowners living in the school district pay higher property taxes. This shortfall in the education budget is the fault of Idaho legislators refusing to adequately fund education. I’m voting for Steve Berch in District 15 because he wants the Legislature to stop shifting its responsibility to fund education to homeowners.
