Schrecongost letter: Elect Berch
Like so many Idahoans, I have a favorite fishing hole, a favorite campground, a favorite trail — all of them on public land. The threat of losing those lands scares me.
All you have to do is look at Texas, where you have to pay to hunt and fish. Or those lands up north that were just closed to the public.
As for state “management,” one year of fighting fires would bankrupt us, and there’d be no choice but to sell.
Don’t let our Legislature go down this dangerous path. Vote for Steve Berch for representative in District 15. He’ll protect our public lands.
