Goff letter: Social Security
Here we go again: One step forward, two steps back, while the cost of groceries continues to rise.
For 2017, the Social Security Board is proposing a 0.2 percent cost-of-living raise in Social Security retirement benefits (multiply current income by .002). However, with this COLA comes a somewhat large Medicare Part B increase, which means our take-home income from Social Security will be decreased next year.
Obama, Clinton and the Democrats are proposing an expansion of Social Security. Get out and vote your pocketbook for a change.
