I was at the airport just yesterday and noticed the mosaic on the floor is now gone. What used to be a beautiful mural of Idaho is no longer. Upon further inspection, there were signs indicating that a new mural was either in progress or completed by early/mid-2016. Obviously, that hasn’t happened.
I note in the city budget available online that airport revenue as of October 2016 is at 82 percent of expectation. If that’s why the mural isn’t complete, I get that. However, updating the signs might be in order. Better still, explain why this expensive project was undertaken to begin with? It’s fluff. Nothing but fluff. At the taxpayers’ expense.
Please explain yourselves for this tax waste.
