Letters to the Editor

Martin letter: Bennett letter

I have to say that after reading Gary Bennett’s letter (Sept. 11) that I found it to be offensive to me as a white voter. Also as a right-wing thinker, being lumped in with — in his own words: “angry white conservatives who hate immigrants, minorities, non-Christians, gays and women.” He must get his marching orders from Hillary Clinton that labeled half of Trump supporters as “deplorables.” He also wrote: “On Nov. 8, a majority of Idaho voters will vote in support of a possible enemy attack on America.” Really? This in reference to those who support the opposition. The only attack is coming from the liberal, socialist, left-wing progressives of this country. To silence anyone who does not agree with their principles as being un-American. The problems we face today exist because the people who have good moral values, and work for a living, are outnumbered by those who vote for a living. Just remember “a nation of sheep breeds a government of wolves.” I’ll stand with the sheep dogs.

Gene Martin, Emmett
