Transportation board OKs $54 million for 17 road projects across state
The state Transportation Board Thursday picked 17 road and bridge projects to be funded by $54 million in general surplus, as authorized by the Legislature.
The single most expensive project, at $11.8 million, covers repairs to a six-mile stretch of Interstate 15 north of Pocatello. Another $6.25 million will fund restoration of 10.2 miles of Idaho 41 between Rathdrum and Route 54 near Spirit Lake, and $6 million will restore 8.5 miles of US 26 near Gooding.
A complete project list with details is here.
The IDT board chose the projects based on safety, mobility and economic opportunity.
