Boise State’s Leon Rice, the men’s basketball coach, is the second-highest paid with over $1 million.
Boise State President Marlene Tromp and University of Idaho President C. Scott Green top the list of administrators on compensation Tromp makes over $473,000 annually, while Green makes $479,000.
Excluding university employees, the next-highest-paid state employees are executives at the State Insurance Fund—Richard Ferguson and Michael Haxby — who make more than $395,000 a year.
Elected officials make much less. The highest paid, Gov. Brad Little, makes $151,400 a year. Attorney General Raúl Labrador makes $146,730. Meanwhile, state lawmakers made around $20,000 this year, though their pay will increase to $25,000 next year.
