Boise joins ‘Nobody is above the law’ impeachment rallies

On the night before the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on whether to impeach President Donald Trump, several hundred Boiseans lined Front Street during rush hour as part of nationwide “Nobody is above the law” rallies.

Carrying signs that called for the president’s impeachment, protesters waved as cars honked.

“The president has abused power for his own personal gain,” said Lynn Strong. “Unacceptable.”

“We’re sad,” said Mary Walker, with her husband, Ellis Walker. “We want our Constitution. He cannot take down the Constitution.”

About 15 counterprotesters, organized by the Idaho chapter of MAGA Girl, joined the crowd.
