Who’s running for Idaho’s Legislative District 15? Hear from the candidates
Idaho voters in a part of West Boise will determine their state lawmakers for Legislative District 15 next month.
Seven candidates have thrown their names in to fill three seats in the district: senator and representative positions A and B. The candidates include two incumbents hoping to return to the Idaho Legislature.
Republican Rep. Codi Galloway, who serves in House position B, is hoping to secure the Senate seat. Galloway, a freshman legislator, faces Democrat Rick Just and Constitution Party candidate Sarah Clendenon in the Nov. 8 general election.
Democratic Rep. Steve Berch, who seeks a third term, will challenge Republican Steve Keyser for House position A. Political newcomers — Democrat Jeff Nafsinger and Republican Dori Healey — will go head to head for House position B.
The Idaho Statesman sent surveys to each of the candidates, and their responses are copied below, unedited. Clendenon and Keyser didn’t respond to the survey.
All Idaho state legislators serve two-year terms.
The two responding candidates spoke about abortions, taxes and climate change.
