Who’s running for Kuna City Council in 2021? Our voter guide highlights the candidates

Three of the four Kuna City Council seats are up for election in November, but only two are contested.

Five candidates are running for two seats, the seats are not numbered.

Two incumbents are running. Warren Christensen is running unopposed for a two-year seat. He has served on the City Council since 2017. John Laraway is running for one of the four-year seats against four challengers. He was appointed to fill an open position on the council in 2020.

Kuna City Council President Richard Cardoza is not seeking reelection.

The Statesman sent candidate surveys to each of the candidates running for City Council. Their responses are unedited. The candidates discussed topics of growth, infrastructure and housing.

Christensen did not respond.
