Owyhee Canyon Fire contained in E. Oregon
The Owyhee Canyon fire in eastern Oregon was declared contained Thursday morning.
The fire began over the weekend about 10 miles southeast of Rome, Ore., and crept along the rim of the Owyhee Canyon to burn nearly 22,000 acres, the BLM reports.
Demobilization began at the Owyhee Canyon Fire Wednesday, with resources and personnel being gradually withdrawn.
