4-year-old dies in crash near Horseshoe Bend

A 4-year-old boy was killed in a rollover crash on Idaho 55 on Thursday night near Horseshoe Bend, according to the Idaho State Police.

Ashley Grimm, 31, of Emmett, was driving north in a 2009 Ford Econoline van when it veered off the right shoulder of the road and rolled about 3 miles north of Horseshoe Bend, according to ISP.

Grimm was taken by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Titus Grimm, 4, was ejected from the van and died at the scene. Four other juvenile passengers were not injured, ISP said.

The crash, which occurred about 8:30 p.m., blocked Idaho 55 for about an hour. Both lanes were reopened just before midnight.
