Family, friends and police gather to honor fallen Idaho officers
Lindy Moore, the wife of slain Coeur d'Alene policeman Gregory K. Moore, helped remove a black ribbon to reveal his name on the Idaho Peace Officers’ Memorial in Meridian Thursday.
The Moores’ daughter Gemma, 2 and son Dylon, 13, also were on hand for the ceremony.
Sgt. Moore was shot and killed while on duty in May 2015. On Thursday his name was added to the list of 71 officers dating back to 1883 engraved on the memorial located in front of the Idaho State Police Headquarters
A ceremony honoring the fallen was attended by numerous law enforcement representatives from around Idaho as well as family, friends and appreciative citizens.
