Mountain Home police say Walmart shooting call was a hoax
Mountain Home police and Elmore County deputies responded Friday morning to a call of a possible shooting in the parking lot of the Walmart store, 2745 American Legion Blvd.
When officers arrived at the scene shortly after 9 a.m., they could not find a victim. As a precaution, officers had the store locked down so they could search for a victim or possible suspects.
Several witnesses who were inside the store and in the parking lot told officers they did not hear anything or see anything suspicious.
Police are trying to identify the anonymous caller.
