Update: Idaho State Police announced on social media at 12 p.m. Thursday that Benjamin Snider was “located safe.”

Law enforcement has asked the public for help finding an endangered missing person in Gem County.

Idaho State Police sent out an alert shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday notifying the public that Benjamin Snider, 77, was missing.

“Ben may be suffering from dementia and may be confused,” the alert said.

Police said Snider is 6 feet, 1 inch in height, weighs 240 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black coat, green thermal shirt, jeans and tan and white Crocs shoes.

He is driving a tan 2012 Ford F150 truck with the Idaho license plate DU907, according to the alert.

Idaho State Police spokesperson Kara Kelley told the Idaho Statesman that Snider went missing Wednesday night, but did not provide additional details about his disappearance.
