Can you spot Boise? See stellar view as International Space Station flies above Idaho

The International Space Station travels 5 miles every second, and it still managed to capture a shot of Boise.

As people were preparing for the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 13, the International Space Station was passing over Idaho, video shows. The station passed the city at about 4 p.m.

Video recorded from a NASA feed and shared on the ISS Above Twitter account shows how quickly the station flies by.

“The winter views across Oregon and Idaho take your breath away,” ISS Above said. “(Boise) is in the lower/right of frame at the start.”

The Snake River and Bear Lake were also captured on video from the International Space Station.

The International Space Station captured the snowy view of most of the country on Sunday. ISS Above also shared footage from Seattle to the Colorado Rockies and into Dallas.

Every day, the International Space Station orbits Earth about 16 times, according to NASA. It’s been occupied continuously for more than 21 years, and a crew of seven people live and work onboard.
