A 54-year-old Boise woman died after a car crash in Shoshone, according to a press release from the Idaho State Police.

At about 5 p.m. Friday, Idaho State Police responded to the crash on U.S. Highway 26 at South Grape Street.

Jade M. Norton, 29, of Boise, was driving eastbound on U.S. Highway 26 in a 2006 Pontiac G6 when the car crossed the center line and struck a 2006 Peterbuilt semi-truck driven by Wendell resident Dylan R. Geer, 22. Norton’s passenger, Deborah Woosley, was transported to St. Luke’s in Boise by air ambulance, where she died.

Norton was also transported by air ambulance to St. Luke’s, but the extent of injuries was not disclosed by ISP. A juvenile passenger in Norton’s Pontiac was transported to North Canyon Hospital, and his or her injuries were also not disclosed.

Norton and Woosley were wearing seat belts, according to ISP, but Geer was not.

All lanes of travel were blocked for about 3 hours, and next of kin of the deceased were notified.
