Gambler bets $1.25 on video poker and wins big jackpot with rare hand in Las Vegas

A gambler got lucky on a video poker game with a rare hand at a Las Vegas casino.

Now, the player is $44,725 richer.

The visitor sat at a machine at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa, the casino said in a Dec. 23 Facebook post.

Then the gambler bet $1.25 and ended up with a royal flush, the rarest hand in the game, according to Upswing Poker.

Congratulations to our guest who won a $44,725 jackpot with a Sequential Royal Flush on a $1.25 bet!

To get a royal flush, a player needs to get an ace, king, queen, jack and 10 in the same suit.

This player won with a royal flush in diamonds.

Another gambler hit a jackpot at the same casino.

The slot machine player bet $45 on a game and won $28,299.

Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is about a 10-mile drive northwest of the Las Vegas Strip.
