‘Piece of art’ home blends into the mountainside — and is for sale in Arizona. See it

A mountain estate that looks like it’s been plucked from a museum has landed on the market in Paradise Valley, Arizona, for $17 million.

Against a rocky backdrop spotted with green bushes, the residence — designed by architect Ken Hutchinson — stands out, but not in any ordinary fashion. The four-bedroom, six-bathroom home rests on the highest point of Camelback Mountain, but appears to blend in with the aesthetically pleasing area as it overlooks the city lights.

“Designed by renowned architect Ken Hutchinson, the house is a sculpted piece of art with walls following radius points of soft curvatures, some with a flowing ribbon effect,” listing agent Laura Joyner with Coldwell Banker Realty said in a news release. “This is only the second offering of this precious, iconic property, at the zenith of Camelback Mountain.”

The entire residence is a feast for the eyes and senses, and has an array of magical features that will take anyone’s breath away.

“Boulder outcroppings have been thoughtfully incorporated into the architectural design, creating a striking visual statement,” the listing says. “A cantilevered, 52-foot mosaic-tiled pool and spa, outdoor kitchen and sauna offer an unparalleled luxurious outdoor experience.”

Other features include:

  • Split primary bedroom

  • Patios

  • Walk-in closets

  • Breakfast bar

  • Fireplaces

  • Wet bar

  • Private yard
