Woman wakes to exposed man touching her in her apartment, California cops say
A 34-year-old was arrested after being accused of breaking into a woman’s home and touching her while she slept, California police said.
On Sept. 7, the woman told Santa Monica police she was woken up by an exposed man touching her leg, according to a news release.
The man, later identified as Anthony Townson, got into the apartment through an unlocked patio sliding door, police said.
He fled the apartment but was eventually found and arrested, police said.
Townson was arraigned on Sept. 10, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed charges of residential burglary and indecent exposure during unlawful entry, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call 310-458-2293, 310-458-8931 or 310-458-8427, officers said.
