Dream ranch for sale in Montana will allow you to be neighbors with ‘Yellowstone’ family
Since its premiere in 2018, fans of the Paramount Plus drama series “Yellowstone” have been obsessed with the Dutton family, headed up by Kevin Costner’s John Dutton III. Now, for those diehards, an opportunity has landed on the real estate market in Darby, Montana.
And it’s only seven minutes from where the Taylor Sheridan series is filmed.
Its name is Hart Bench Ranch, and it sits on 155 deeded acres. The property is right across the way from Chief Joseph Ranch, the land that poses as Yellowstone Dutton Ranch in the show, a news release says.
It’s listed for $10.75 million.
“Efficient and compact in a setting that rivals some of the best in the West, Hart Bench Ranch sets a new bar for what a hobby operation can be,” the listing on Hall and Hall said.
“Situated on an eponymous bench in the shadows of the Bitterroot Mountains’ most scenic peaks lies a near-perfect assemblage of irrigated meadows, riparian-influenced gullies, and a complete set of operational and residential improvements.”
On the property sits the 2,895-square-foot main residence, which was built in 2001, along with a guest house, two-car garage, two shops, a saloon and a greenhouse.
“Recreationally, the ranch is home to deer and elk, and fishing is available in the pond,” the listing describes.
“Two stems of the Bitterroot River flow nearby, creating the main channel just north of the ranch. There are multiple access points locally into the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, one of the largest roadless areas in the lower 48, providing a vast array of recreational opportunities.”
The listing is held by Deke Tidwell.
Darby is about a 175-mile drive southwest of Helena.
