Nothing makes it feel more like the holiday season than watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” in all its moody glory with a hot cup of cocoa while the snow falls gently outside.

Well, a few lucky people will get to enjoy that hot cup of cocoa from inside the Grinch’s lair — which has been assembled inside an actual cave in Boulder, Utah.

Unfortunately, for the rest of us, the lair, which is a vacation rental on Vacasa, is all booked up through the holidays.

Lucky for us, you can still take a virtual tour around the home of one of Dr. Seuss’ most famous characters.

According to Vacasa, the available days were gobbled up extremely fast when booking opened on Dec. 3, so it’s lucky that the 3D tour can be viewed on their website.

And there’s even a note from the big green grump himself:

“Mister Grinch, here. As we are all painfully aware, the most miserable time of the year approaches. Caroling, candy canes, and, of course, that constant, contagious Christmas cheer. Yuck.

I myself, unlike every other Who, am getting out of town this year—far away from all the holiday hoopla with its fanatical, fantastical fa la la la la, la la la la-ing. Am I stealing Christmas again? Maybe. Am I visiting my Florida beach home? Don’t worry about it.

Either way, good news for you. While I’m gone, you can stay in my cave.”

Highlights inside the lair include:

  • Max’s corner (you know, the Grinch’s perfect little pup)

  • One main bedroom

  • A guest bedroom

  • Two bathrooms

  • A pipe organ

  • Max’s drum set

  • A library

  • Kitchen stocked full of Who-favorites (not edible)

Those quick fingered individuals who were able to nab a stay in the cave paid only $19.57 an evening, which was a nod to the year Dr. Seuss debuted his grouchy, Christmas-hating character, Fox News said.

The one downside? No pets allowed. So sorry, Max.

The book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” was released in 1957 and has since seen two famous adaptions: the short 1966 cartoon featuring the voices of Boris Karloff and Thurl Ravenscroft, and the live-action movie starring Jim Carrey as the Grinch, which came out in 2000.
