Wear a coronavirus mask in popular Las Vegas casinos and get an extra $20 to lose
You don’t have to place a bet to win an extra $20 in some Las Vegas casinos.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues, Caesars Entertainment is giving $20 to casino guests who wear masks, the company said.
Caesars reopened five big-name properties, including Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas, Flamingo, The Linq Hotel and Harrah’s Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Now the company is trying to offer an incentive for customers to wear a mask by randomly passing out $20 in free slot-machine play, the news outlet reported.
Over the weekend, 375 guests were given a total of $7,500 for wearing a mask, according to the Reno Gazette Journal.
Face masks are not required in Nevada casinos except at table games, KTNV reported. Most casinos, however, are encouraging guests to wear face masks while at the resorts, the news outlet reported.
“The promotion would end if wearing masks became mandatory,” Caesars Entertainment public relations specialist Gia Silvaggio told the Reno Gazette Journal.
