Naked rock-thrower evades arrest for 12 hours by perching on railroad sign, OR cops say
A naked man spent more than 12 hours perched on a railroad crossing sign, Oregon police said.
Brandon Lee Jackson, 39, was arrested Tuesday in Eugene, Oregon, on multiple charges after exposing himself to bystanders, throwing rocks at people and spending the night on top of the railroad sign, the Eugene Police Department said.
“The Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the location and was continuing contact with the suspect,” police said. “The call went more than 12 hours total, with officers working on solutions.”
He sat through occasional rain showers, media outlets reported.
When Jackson was taken into custody, he put a K9 officer in a headlock and punched the dog several times, police said.
Jackson was hit with a laundry list of first- and second-degree charges, including assault, reckless endangering, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, public indecency and disorderly conduct, police said.
He was also charged with robbery and assault from a June 15 incident and theft from a June 14 incident, according to Eugene police. Additionally, Jackson had charges for theft and criminal mischief from a March incident, officials said.
